Hi, my name is Ella and I am 11 years old. I absolutely love doing aerial silks and I am very honoured to be training for the very first international aerial world championships in Aruba this August 2026. I am determined, dedicated and disciplined. I enjoy setting goals and want to inspire others to dream big, believe in themselves, and work hard to achieve their goals too. Remember to never give up, even when faced with challenges, failures, or fears.

Practicing skills over and over is a big part of my training.
This is Aerial Dreaming Circus school. The BEST place to be because it has the BEST coaches and the most wonderful people you will ever meet. They are my Aerial Family and I love them very much!!!!
From training lots and often I then get to create performances. This is from the Goomeri Pumpkin festival.
“I push myself to do hard things because I know that’s where my dreams come true. If I only ever choose what’s easy, I’ll stay the same. If want to keep representing Australia, that means choosing the hard things, even when it’s uncomfortable. I want to be the best version of myself. But it’s not just about me. I want to show other young people that they can chase huge goals too, and that doing the hard stuff is how you get there.”
Remember to set SMART GOALS.
S - specific (this helps you make your goal be very clear so you know exactly what you are wanting to achieve.)
M- measurable goals (can be easily tracked. So, you can measure your progress and success)
A - achievable (don’t set them too easy or too hard that they are not achievable) The harder they are, the more work you have to do, which means the more time and money you will spend on them. But then it feels so good when you achieve your goals.
R - relevant (and results oriented)
T - time bound (it has a deadline where you can measure progress and re-evaluate if needed)
“I set goals to keep improving every day, to challenge myself to learn new skills, and to inspire others to dream big while I work towards representing Australia on the world stage.”
So for example
I used to have a goal of learning harder moves so I am constantly improving. Now every week I set a goal with my coach of what new move or how many new moves I am going to learn and what time frame I will be confident to do them. Then I also say how I am going to do it. For example, I will learn new moves by getting weekly privates and practice, practice, practice with focused and purpose.
Other goals I have set are things like get enough points with my video entries to get into regionals. Place at regionals so I get into Nationals. But now my goals include representing Australia on the world stage and get personal best scores, even if I don’t win but to always have a mind set that keeps going even when things feel hard.
Now that I ticked off last years goals of trying other apparatus like hoop and hammock (and becoming National champion on them in different levels). While I want to keep improving at those apparatus I also really want to focus on inspiring others and getting them to set goals. I want to start some community projects called Dream Big to help others
I don't just want to compete at World Championships level and be the best I can be. But I want to keep improving for the next 7 years so hopefully when Aerials becomes an Olympic sport I can represent Australia. I really hope at the 2032 Olympic games. But I always want to be known for encouraging and inspiring others, not just for skill or working hard.

This is my favourite trophy as I only started Aerial in 2023 and it was the biggest honour to be chosen by the most incredible coaches when there are so many amazing students that go to this school.

This was very special for me because it was my first competition and I got first. Someone told me I was lucky to win at my first competition but I explained nicely to them it was not luck. It was a lot of hard work!
Plus, I have the best coach, Miss Shae!

I have the best duo partner ever and we got to work with Miss Bec. She is so awesome.

This means I am in the top 20 on the silks in Australia.
Plus, our school is so fantastic that two of my other friends Kingsley and Bianca also qualified for Nationals in Silk under 10.

This means I am in 2nd in Australia on the silks.

This means Kingsley and I came 3rd in Australia for our routine. We were the only duo pair to be brave enough to do our routine on the silks.

This means Kingsley and I are now off to Nationals for this routine.

This means I am off to Nationals this year for this routine too.

This was a big surprise. Matt from Limelight multimedia to choose my routine when there were so many really amazing routines.

This means I am off to Nationals this year for this routine too. I really had fun with this routine.

This means I now have four routines going to Nationals for 2025

Believe in yourself and your dreams. You have the power to make anything happen if you put your mind to it. Don't let anyone else's doubts or fears hold you back.
So dream BIG but worker HARDER!

The 2025 Nationals were held in January 2026. Once again, Aerial Dream Circus School had an incredible number of students qualify, with 22 routines making it through.
I had four routines reach Nationals, and it was a huge privilege to perform on the national stage alongside so many talented athletes.
This competition has taught me that anyone can dream big and not only set big goals, but achieve them through hard work. Believe in yourself, tell yourself you can, and work towards your goal every day.
Never give up when things go wrong because they do, a lot. Sometimes you might think I can’t win or I haven’t been doing this long enough. Just remember to say, “I can’t do it yet… but I will.”

First, I want to say a huge congratulations to every single athlete who competed. I know how hard you trained when no one was watching, and every routine was incredible and truly deserving of the Nationals spotlight.
A special shout-out to Bianca and Ebony. You both absolutely shone. Bianca, you are such an inspiration and incredibly talented.
It was a huge privilege for me to be bumped up to Advanced and then to win.
But my biggest, most heartfelt THANK YOU goes to the best coaches in the world, Miss Shae and Miss Bec. I wouldn’t be here without you. And thank you to my incredible sponsors for believing in me and supporting my journey.

Six months ago, my dream of learning Lyra came true. Getting to Nationals and winning wouldn’t have been possible without my coach, Miss Shae, believing in me and encouraging me to go for it. I worked hard, trusted myself, and got there. Once again I could not train as hard without the support of my sponsors.
Remember to dream big and go for it. If I can, you can too.

This routine taught me to just go for it. I was very nervous competing against amazing athletes up to 17 years old.
After Regionals, when my Dear Future Husband routine didn’t win, I wanted to start again and create something completely new. This routine was very different for me, and when I watched the other performances with their incredible stories, I thought it would be really hard to win. But I was surprised that all that hard work paid off.
This routine was all about telling a story. I wanted people to see that when life knocks you down, you get back up because you are a winner the moment you choose to stand up again and keep trying.

This was a fun routine with Kingsley. We did Dragon riders. I need to say biggest THANK YOU to Miss Bec for being the best duo coach we could have ever asked for.

This is my favourite award from Bend the Air Nationals, Most Entertaining Solo, presented on Gala Night. It was the biggest surprise.
I am especially grateful for the $400 prize, which will all go towards my training and truly means so, so much to me.
Mr Matt from Limelight Multimedia is incredibly generous at every Regionals and Nationals, always giving away videos and encouraging everyone. Thank you again, Mr Matt. You truly are a world changer.

Nationals reminded me that if you dream big, work hard, and never give up, anything is possible. Keep believing in yourself, your hard work will pay off in ways you can’t even imagine

I have had the privilege to perform at a graduation and in the main street of Gympie for Easter on Mary. Also, at Christmas on Mary and at the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival.

At the Noosa Country Show I had the privilege of performing with the incredible Miss Shae.
Behind every move there was months of hard work, early mornings where it was cold and it would have been easy to stay in bed. But instead I have been learning to have a mindset that never settles for “good enough" but instead work harder and does extra.

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Tess Walls from Germaine De Capuccini. They have very generously sponsored me to help me get to Nationals but then more importantly train for the next regionals. I'm excited to share that I now have my first ever children's book to help younger kids dream big too. I have a book launch sale and it is only $15 for a soft cover. It is called Dream Big, Little Monkey. It is a children’s story about Mimi, a little monkey with a huge dream to soar high like the aerialists. Even though she’s teased by other animals, Mimi never lets her size or fears stop her.
With wobbly feet, a tangle-prone tail, and a heart full of determination, she practises every day. She makes mistakes, but she never gives up and keeps practising. Then one magical night, Mimi becomes the star of the show and proves that even the smallest dreamers can shine the brightest.
This story reminds children that big dreams start with tiny steps and that courage, resilience, and self-belief can take you anywhere.
Love, Ella (a little dreamer with big dreams, practising every day to make them come true.) .

Once you get to competition level, training is more expensive than I expected. I have always tried to pay my way in the sport and I would like to continue this, even as the costs rise because I want to do more classes and start private lessons too.
Learning to raise money, to achieve my goals, is an incredible lesson and makes my sport feel even more amazing because I have also worked hard to pay for it.

Believing in yourself is the first step towards success. Always remember that you are capable of achieving great things in life. Embrace your strengths and work on your weaknesses to become the best version of yourself.
Success is not achieved overnight. It requires hard work, dedication, and perseverance. If you ever feel like giving up, remember why you started and keep going. The road to success is never easy, but it's always worth it in the end. So dream big and work harder
Dreaming is not enough to make things happen. You need to take action to turn your dreams into reality. Set goals, make a plan, and take action. Don't wait for opportunities to come to you - create them yourself.
Failure is not the opposite of success, it's a part of it. Don't be afraid to fail - it's an opportunity to learn and grow. Embrace your failures and use them as stepping stones towards success.
Positivity is contagious. Surround yourself with positive people and focus on the good in life. Even in difficult times, there is always something to be grateful for. Stay positive and surround yourself with people who encourage you. Then encourage them back.
Don't settle for mediocrity. Challenge yourself to be better every day. Push yourself to your limits and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.
